Stop in and shop at businesses (some are open later than usual), enjoy live music (several locations up and down the blocks), and enjoy food and drinks at all your fave spots on Hertel. What’s the reason behind the quick coordination of this event? On Thursday, September 3rd Buffalo (especially North Buffalo and Kenmore) was experiencing  a violent storm. 3.35″ of rain fell on these areas, breaking a 148 year old record for most rain in one night.

Hertel Avenue (Revolution Gallery and Lounge’s home since November 2016) is a neighborhood that was hit hard; basements flooded, and some businesses had the rising water enter their space from the street level. It was chaos, and disastrous, and businesses lost inventory and product. Also, clean-up took time within interior spaces  and basements, with some places still in the process of this enormous task.
