ARTEMIS X – Live at the Lounge
SATURDAY • October 3rd | doors 7:00pm | No cover | 21+ with valid ID
The Lounge welcomes back – Artemis X!
Artemis X calls her music Gothic Blues although it’s not exactly one or the other. With haunting and gritty vocals and expressive guitar all the while keeping a steady beat with her feet and adding effects. No loops just real time melodies, grooves and machinations that will keep you riveted every second for an unforgettable night.
She sings in English a bit in French, Arab(ish) and occasionally in Italian. Her own originals are fan favorites but she’s been known to pull out a 17th century aria, a rock or dark wave classic or even an old country anthem. From Henry Purcell to Dolly Parton you never know what song she’ll pull out. Her own compositions have titles like Burn the Witch, Dorian Grey, Velvet, Alice in Underland and are reflective of a lifelong passion for macabre literature.
The show at Revolution Gallery Lounge is free admission by her own request. She wants people to come that may otherwise not be able to see her perform at her favorite venue.
