KRAMPUSNACHT – Join this event!

Saturday, December 4th  |  5:00pm to 12:00am

Presented by Revolution Gallery / The Lounge at Revolution Gallery, Anthony Brown and Cyd Cox, and The Merry Shelley

Celebrate and take part in KRAMPUSNACHT – An evening of when Krampus – the horned helper to Saint Nicholas – comes to visit…

THE PROCESSION –

This celebration begins at The Merry Shelley – our fantastic neighbors up the street. Meet there in your Krampus finest at 5:00pm, enjoy drinks and specials (especially their selections of absinthe!) in their dark and beautiful space.

The Krampus Procession leaves from there at 6:00pm – lead by Saint Nicholas, we all head down the street to Revolution Gallery, complete with switches, bells, and horns.

THE ART EXHIBIT –

The Krampus group exhibit opening reception starts at 7:00pm – new artwork created specifically for this show by local, national, and international artists.

We are excited about the Krampus-themed art that is being created for this group exhibit! Participating artists – John Arnold, Jonathan Bishop, Thea Duskin, Barry Fitzgerald, Stacey Lechevet, Joel Menter, Harry Michalakeas, Dylan Pilley, Charlie Powell, Erin Ruffino, Nora Thompson, Tara Bystran Sasiadek, and Kelly Vetter!

Join us for the opening reception after the procession from The Merry Shelley to Revolution Gallery! Opening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm with music by DJ Dr Wisz!

We are so excited about celebrating Krampusnacht with you!

A Krampus art installation (designed by artist Sarah Hemingway) is a perfect opportunity to take a pic with Krampus.

Tonight is also when the “Black Xmas” countdown boxes (designed by artists Maria Pabico LaRotonda and Sarah Hemingway) will be made available at Revolution Gallery and The Merry Shelley.

THE MUSIC –

DJ Dr Wisz will be spinning his vinyl selections till 9:00pm, followed by Live Music by The Vores, and Pauline and the Perils in the Lounge area of Revolution Gallery.

We’ll host a few community meetings over the coming weeks (the first one is Wednesday, November 10th at 7:00pm at the Gallery) for anyone who is interested in dressing up and joining in the Procession. We will also be posting to both gallery and lounge websites. First Community Meeting is at Revolution Gallery on Wednesday, November 10th at 7:00pm

Learn how to make your own Krampus mask; create a basic costume; and equip yourself with switches and bells. We are looking to gather a large amount of fellow revelers for the procession.

REMINDER: To continue to help keep our community safe – we have had a vaccination only policy for all who enter the gallery. Please bring your vaccination card / Excelsior pass and ID /– All guests need to present proof of vaccination to attend this event, no exceptions. We truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support. Delta is rapidly spiking in our county, and we need to protect our staff and all our guests. We encourage mask wearing and are thankful to all of you for respecting this!
