THE LIVING ROOM with June Star and Last Night Songs

Saturday  •  July 22nd |  Doors at 7:00pm  |  21+ with valid ID  |  $10.

What a great night in Buffalo!

The Living Room, is a seven-piece, original, murder-ballad rock band. They are heavily influenced by bands like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Morphine, and Mark Lanegan; implementing guitars, drums, keys, saxophone, accordian, and lots of group vocals. Based out of Rochester, and the band is beginning to gain a following.

Baltimore Maryland’s June Star (Andrew Grimm and Dave Hadley), with aching vocals and plaintive folk arrangements, comes off like a Smog-era Bill Callahan if he had chosen to dive inward or The Jayhawks if they were more keen to stark emotional realism. Grimm’s rich baritone voice and Hadley’s atmospheric, elegiac pedal steel brings a time-honored aesthetic to their unique tales of fractious love, quixotic anxiety, and the power of redemption.

Last Night Songs hails from Buffalo NY, with former and current members of  Copper and Soul Butchers. Their fuzzy, jangly, shoe-gaze melodies open this evening of music from three cities!
